Madelin has eight years of experience working with children and their families. She has spent majority of her career at Chelsea Public Schools as a middle school Adjustment Counselor working specifically with students who have experienced trauma. Madelin was responsible for providing crisis management and mental health coordination, and counseling within the school setting. More recently, Madelin has started to work at a private school in Boston, building staff knowledge around mental health and consulting around how to support students with emotional concerns to ensure their access to curriculum.

Madelin is also clinically trained in the Social Thinking Methodology, focusing around social competence specific to perspective taking, executive functioning, self-regulation, and social self-awareness.

Madelin uses many approaches to therapy with focus on primarily a skill based approach. She works with children, adolescents, and families primarily.

Madelin graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2005 with a Bachelors in Psychology and Child Development. She has a Masters of Education specializing in counseling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, 2011.
