Insurance and Fees

Insurance

Our clinicians take all forms of Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, United, Tufts, Tricare and Cigna. We are also approved out-of-network providers with Aetna and Unicare. If we have a contract with your health insurance provider, we will bill them and accept payment according to that contract.

Please bring your insurance card to your first appointment so we can make a copy of it.

If we do not have an agreement with your insurer, you must pay at the time of your visit and seek reimbursement from your insurer. We will help you to keep track of how many sessions you have used.

In all cases, you are ultimately responsible for knowing this information and paying for services.


Fees

Sessions for families are scheduled for 45 minutes and individual sessions are 40-60 minutes.  If you are unable to arrive on time, we will end at the scheduled time.

If we have an agreement with your insurance company we will collect a co-pay at the session via credit card, cash or check and then bill your insurance company for the session.

Please note that letter writing and phone calls are not billable to insurance companies and we will bill you directly for that time.  If we do not have an agreement with your insurance company, the fees are as follows:

  • Initial Evaluation: $150 per intake

  • Individual & Family Therapy: $150 per session

  • Documentation Fees (letters, reports and phone calls over 5 minutes): $2 per minute

  • Cancellation Policy: 24-hour notice of cancellation is expected to avoid a charge for your scheduled session.  Insurance companies cannot be billed for cancellations.
