Phoebe F. Teare M.A. LMHC
In addition to serving as a child and family therapist, Phoebe Teare is the Clinical Director and a co-founder of The Coastal Center.
Phoebe has provided counseling for children, adolescents and their families on the South Shore for the past 25 years. She utilizes play and talking therapies to help children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, Aspergers, low self-esteem, or social challenges.
She facilitates small social skills groups and therapeutic groups at The Coastal Center for children from preschool through adolescence.
Phoebe recently completed training through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and is now a Certified Health Coach and is looking forward to weaving nutritional coaching throughout her work with children and their families.
Previously, she worked at The Children’s Hospital in Boston in the Learning Disability Clinic and Boston Early Intervention at Franciscan Children’s Hospital. Phoebe has also provided school based mental health services as a guidance counselor with elementary and preschool-aged children. Previous to this she was a teacher for eight years, focusing on preschool, kindergarten and second grade.
Phoebe received her psychology training from Lesley University, and an Elementary Education degree from the University of Vermont.
